2026 SOAP Abstract Reviewer Information 

Interested in becoming a 2026 SOAP Abstract Reviewer?

SOAP Active and Associate members were invited to submit a Reviewer Interest Form by, Wednesday, January 21st 11:59 PM Eastern.

The SOAP Research Abstract Subcommittee will review the forms submitted and determine whether you will be assigned to review research abstracts or case reports. Please expect to be grading 50-60 abstracts (either research abstracts or case-reports).

There will be a Reviewers’ Webinar on February 3rd from 5-6PM ET to inform you about the reviewing process and how to score abstracts.

  • Please note there are significant changes in the scoring system this year and we encourage all reviewers to attend the Webinar (it will be recorded).

Reviewer Timeline:

  • Reviewer Interest Form Call for Reviewers Open: December 1st
  •  Call for Reviewers Close: January 21st
  •  Abstracts (research or case reports) distribution to reviewers: Friday, January 30th 
  •  Identify that there are no conflicts for the reviews assigned (author on the abstract, same institutions): February 2 – 3. Email SOAP HQ if you had any conflicts
  • Scores submitted by reviewers: Wednesday, February 11th, 11:59 PM EST
