SOAP Fundamentals Virtual Event
January 28, 2023 & February 11, 2023 SOAP Fundamentals logo

Thank you for attending the inaugural SOAP Fundamentals, our NEW program designed for under-resourced areas. These are often times rural or areas that do not have an obstetric anesthesiologist on staff. Our virtual meeting drew over 50 registrants and featured high quality sessions and expert faculty. We are grateful to our presenters and planning committees for their work.

Research indicates that there are areas in the United States where access to obstetric anesthesia care is limited or unavailable, despite economic resources.  In these areas, the healthcare team may be comprised of obstetricians, family physicians, anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and other medical professionals who are not formally trained in OB Anesthesia.

SOAP Fundamentals was designed to enhance the knowledge base of these healthcare teams in an effort to fulfill SOAP's mission of advancing and advocating for the health of pregnant women and their babies through research, education, and best practices in obstetric anesthesia care.

Recorded content and conference materials are available on-demand in the SOAP Learning Center for all registrants.
